One of my childhood influences that is unworldly enough to have inspired Run Detective was It Came From The Desert - One of the first computer games I ever played was on a friends Amiga. I was so blown away I still remember the intro, 'The desert, unchanged for millions of years, yet witness to a prophecy come true, that the meek shall inherit the Earth’. It had it all, a meteor shower followed by strange occurrences, investigated by a scientist. Oh yeah, and giant ants!
